After reading my recipe's name as Raw banana/vazhakkai kofta, you might be wondering how could this even work!! Even I had never seen any gravy recipe with raw banana until I came across Sneha akka's The Secret Ingredient Blog. Her recipe photos are extremely professional taken by Sathya anna and looks so yummy that you can never miss trying them out. (Excuse my bad photography, yet to buy a DSLR and master it!) I knew only to make some usual side dishes for rice from vazhakkai, so i thought of giving this a try and I must say that it turned out real good!!
Kadai Mushroom or Kadai Paneer is the easiest and quickest sidedish I would ever make for roti/chappati. No grinding you see ;)... This time it's my own recipe because i love to try anything with mushrooms. I know many of you are showing faces, most of you dont like mushrooms is it?? Poor mushys!! I love mushrooms than paneer. And my hubby loves capsicum in any form, so had to make this often.
Ingredients: Mushroom (each one diced into 4) - 1 cup Onion sliced - 2 Tomatoes chopped - 2 Capsicum cubed - 1 Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tblsp Green chillies - 2 (optional) Red chilli powder - 1 tsp Dhaniya/coriander powder - 1 tsp Garam masala powder - 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp Coriander leaves chopped - 2 tblsp Salt Another tried and tested recipe from Rak's Kitchen. First time I tried dum aaloo recipe and it came out pretty good. My Hubby says only the truth when it comes to my cooking and he liked it :)
Here is the link to the recipe: Dum Aloo Recipe. My Tweaks to the recipe: # Didnt have black cardamom # And skipped adding lemon Happy Cooking!! Are you going to try this one? |
