Honey DIY Conditioner
My hair has become so dry day by day, curse the Bangalore Climate for that. My hair texture is very silky and smooth the moment i step out of Bangalore. But why???? Million dollar question. So I'm always on a hunt for a good deep conditioner to quench my hair's thirst. But in vain - nothing works for long! My hair gets used to any product and goes back to its original dry state. Uff! I did try the best ones talked about in the internet - like the Aussie's.
Finally i came across this homemade DIY conditioner with honey. Though I was skeptical at first to use Honey on my hair, after all those stories about honey greying your hair. Decided to give it a try whatever happens, worst is I will get to color my hair if it greys :) There are many versions of honey conditioner recipes out there, but I landed with the most simple one.

You just need Honey + Water + Lime juice. That's it.
Remember the golden ratio of 2:5:1
Mix 2 tbsp of honey, 5 tbsp fresh water and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Mix well until the honey is dissolved completely.
You can add any essential oil (couple of drops) instead of lemon juice.

After shampooing, just pour the honey mixture on your scalp, covering from roots to tips. Massage/Spread well. It will be of running consistency, but dont worry. It will act well on all your strands. Leave it on for 3 mins and rinse with plain water completely.

This conditioner gives the required moisture to your hair, makes it more soft and smooth. Seriously this reduced my hair fall and saves me from dandruff or any scalp infections. Lemon gives a fresh scalp feeling.

The only catch is you might see your hair color lightening, not so prominent but in the long run. I'm anyway considering to color my hair to a brown or burgundy later :)

You can also make a Olive oil + Honey (1/4 cup each) Pre-wash Conditioner. Apply the mixture evenly on your hair, leave it for 15 mins and shampoo as usual.

Try and leave a comment below on your experience.

Also let me know which conditioner works for dry and polluted climates. Seriously!
