This is kind of my first outfit of the day post, famously tagged by bloggers as #OOTD . I never had the guts (lets call it push, a better word) to post my outfits here, as I never thought I was up to date with latest fashion trends nor I'm a fashion creator. But recently I'm in love with the fashion looks, the brands and varieties that we could get our hands on in India. So why not? Here is my first OOTD, a casual one for a weekend outing with my bae.
Every Hollywood, Bollywood celebrities you could see is wearing this trend... This is all over the Instagram, fashion posts and billboard ads. Wear anything and pair it with a white sneaker and you are good to go! Not really huh? Yeah, plan your outfits to match the white sneaker look and I'm sure you will make heads turn :)
Are you worried if you are too old for this look? Not at all! Anyone can carry this look, men or women, teen or thirties!
In fact white shoes are not new to us, haven't we worn it for the most part of our school days? Those Monday mornings, when we painted our white shoes (or use a chalk to whiten them up - our own DIY), and wear it with our sport skirts. Yeah we have lived in them, so going back in time is not difficult.
Firstly choose a look - Nerdy or Casual? Tom boyish or Girly?
Next step becomes easy now. Girly look can be easy with a flared up skirt, or a dress or a shirt or t-shirt dress paired with a white sneaker. White sneakers can be simple flat laced up ones like canvas shoes, and can go up to expensive highly fashionable shoes with patterns, platform sneakers, gold/silver embellishments and color blocks. But really it doesn't matter. A white shoe is a white shoe :) Go for sock-less shoe look, if you are comfortable and your city is warm enough, else use invisible socks. Show off your legs a bit.
I kept it simple and classic for a weekend outing, without overdressing for the day :)
- Star of the look - White sneakers with embroidery patterns from Zara.
- My top is a plain white tank top with a colorful Dreamcatcher print, which I bought in Thailand. (You can wear any white t-shirt or tank top.
- Ankle length skinny trousers / Jeggings from Veromoda
- A generic Black Jacket
- White top from People.
- Denim distressed shorts from Forever21.
- Blue striped t-shirt dress from Westside.
- Tan coloured sling bag from Globus.
- Scarf from People.
