This basket reminded us of the Chettinad style Kottans (Baskets) made from bamboo leaves. They were really colorful and multi-purpose usage. My granmom has a hundreds of those - right from storing onions, fruits, keys to tablets by the bedside.
We would love to get a chance to learn how to make them and post the video here, next time we go to our native. For now, let's practice with brown paper bags lying in our house. Most apparel shops give paper bags to avoid the use of plastic... Good for the world!! :)
