Hi friends, I'm so happy to share my school friend's inspirational yoga story with all of you through my website. With all the hype around the International Yoga day across the world, I think this is the right time to post this true story and how yoga can work for your body. This is a true life story of my real school friend, so you need to believe it. Yoga can make you flexible, energetic, calmer, reduces your back pain and other ailments, and also helps in inch loss which you would love.
There are proven research studies that Yoga can help in Infertility, Thyroid, Indigestion, Anxiety and other bunch of serious disorders.

We should really thank her for coming forward by herself and sharing her life changing experience with us, so that someone in some corner of the world can change the way they want to be!

I'm sharing 10 best tips to lose weight and become fit, that works for me all this while:

I'm not an expert at losing weight, but I'm a common woman who constantly wants to lose her extra pounds, burn fat faster, and look fit and perfect. Like everybody else I have been researching a lot on it and tried following them one at a time. In the long run, these tips below are those that worked for me and has more effect than the zillion stuffs out there on the Internet. So hop on, have some hope and follow these small steps in your everybody life to lose weight consistently.

1. Start your day with a glass of water, warm if possible. Add lemon and honey, if you have them at home and some time to make your drink. Else just gulp down a glass of water. Hydrate your body as a first step. Helps in cleaning your colons too.

2. Take stairs to office or home, at least once a day. My office is on the third floor and I make a conscious choice of climbing the stairs at least once a day, if I can't every time. When I see my workout stats on my phone, climbing 3 floors burns much more calories than you think. If you don't have any chance to climb stairs everyday, then consciously choose to walk whenever you have to go somewhere nearby, like going to the supermarket or to pick up some stuff.

Do not waste food but don't overeat too!
3. Don't overeat for any reason. Stop when you are 80-90% full. That last 10% adds more fat and makes you feel guilty for having that meal at all. And housewives please don't overeat because the food you cooked is getting wasted. I have been there and that's why we add more fat. So leave that last bit out, if you are full. Find other ways to not waste that food, by giving away to someone like maids or if you have a dog then your problem is solved.
4. Drink warm water throughout the day. It aids in burning more fat and helps in digestion. If you don't like green tea, usually fitness gurus always suggest to have 3-4 cups of green tea everyday. Yes if you don't like to have green tea, just have a cup of warm water. Else you can have black tea too. Just avoid milk at least in one of your cup of tea during your day. Social media is filled up with detox water recipes, which is just water infused with any fruits or herbs.

Fitness is not a crash diet or a short-time weight-loss program, it is a lifestyle change!! 

A day might come when you realize that you are abusing your body by over-eating or not eating the right food. Even your body starts showing signs of deteriorating, and that will be high time you need to follow fitness regime and a new lifestyle. And believe me it's not that hard to change, you will love your body and thank yourself for embracing this change earlier than never. 

To tell you my story, I am a yoga person more than doing exercises/walking/gym. As I grew older, i got very less time to do yoga or meditation. I made my yoga regime very short day by day - ended up just doing Suryanamaskar in the morning for about 15 minutes. But seriously I did not do anything else to care for my fitness, and it started reflecting in other ways - you can call it putting on weight, medical check up results rising up my usual notch and what not! It was high time I had to start my fitness regime and care for my body. It's a long long way to go... more than half of my life to live.
