You would have heard about the famous cheese chilli toast... especially at the Mumbai roadsides shops. I was introduced to these by my mom first, she makes them at home. They make a great breakfast for the weekend or even a good evening snack option. Its cheesy, crunchy and juicy in the mouth. Yummm. . I cant wait to share the recipe with you.

Cheese Chilli Toast
Ingredients:
Bread slices - 6
Grated Processed Cheese - 1 cup or 2 cubes
Finely chopped green chillies - 2
Finely chopped capsicum - 2 tbsp
Finely chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
Milk - 1 tbsp
Maida - 1 tsp (optional)
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
butter - 1tbsp
salt
Method:
1. Mix the cheese, garlic, capsicum, green chillies, milk, Maida/flour, salt, pepper in a bowl. Whisk into a thick mixture, not runny.
2. Spread this cheese mixture on top of the bread slices.
3.You can either grill these bread slices in a preheated oven or just toast them on a non-stick tawa like I did.Tawa method - Heat 1tbsp butter On the non stick tawa. Place the bread slices with the cheese side up. Turn them over after 1 minute. Press slightly to Brown the cheese and move them slightly so that the cheese sticks on to the bread well.
Serve the golden Brown cheese chilli toast with tomato sauce. You can sprinkle white sesame seeds on top.
