Hi friends, I'm so happy to share my school friend's inspirational yoga story with all of you through my website. With all the hype around the International Yoga day across the world, I think this is the right time to post this true story and how yoga can work for your body. This is a true life story of my real school friend, so you need to believe it. Yoga can make you flexible, energetic, calmer, reduces your back pain and other ailments, and also helps in inch loss which you would love.
There are proven research studies that Yoga can help in Infertility, Thyroid, Indigestion, Anxiety and other bunch of serious disorders.
We should really thank her for coming forward by herself and sharing her life changing experience with us, so that someone in some corner of the world can change the way they want to be!

"Hi Friends,
June 21st has been declared as the International Yoga day. It is going to be the First ever of its kind and I am glad that I am going to be a part of it.
Recently, It's all about yoga everywhere. Probably a year ago I wouldn't have given such a thought to it. After experiencing the power of Yoga I am unable to stop myself from sharing my experience with you people. After all I cannot find a better time than this.
First of all I would like to thank my Mom for having introduced Yoga in my Life. If not for her I would not be writing this today. She made me attend Yoga when I was in 11th std (to my remembrance). That's when I learnt Surya Namaskara and few other Asanas. The world of Yoga considers Surya Namaskara as the best asana . The benefits of it is uncountable .At that age, I was least interested. I Never did it again after the classes. My mother again introduced me to Isha Yoga during my college days. Here I was thought Pranayamas (Beathing excercises). Here I should accept that I did come to know the benefits of Yoga. But as usual did not continue it on a daily basis.

Now after 10 Years started doing yoga, just to reap its benefits and to fall in love with it.
The basic reason why I started doing it was to combat my back pain which occurred after my pregnancy. Doctors advised to do stretches and reduce weight. Hitting the gym did not help me at all. Then decided to do what I learnt 10 years ago with determination, YOGA, Surya Namskara and Pranayama. Saw the difference in less than a month. No more backpain and saw considerable amount of inch loss. With strong determination and self motivation I have been doing it for past 4 months with no change in diet ( That's the best part ;)). It's not just about weight loss. I feel energetic, much flexible and much calmer. So friends , for us and for health let's start doing Yoga on daily basis and reap its benefits. after all if not us who is going to take care of us. So Take care. Just to compare , my pics (above) are taken in a duration of 6 months. Hope you find the difference ;)." |
These are the asanas and yoga routine she follows everyday:
- Surya namaskara 5-10 reps. ( full cycle of 12 asanas)
- And pranayama ( bearthing excersies)
- Which include alom- vilom
- Chanting of om and deep breathing.
Hope my friend's story inspired you to get started, stick to a easy yoga routine everyday and reap it's benefits as much as you can. I will try to share easy Yoga practices aiming at specific parts of the body and to cure certain disorders by yoga.
